Artificial intelligence (AI) is the topic of the moment. But is artificial intelligence just hype, or does it really have a chance of asserting itself in the German digital economy?
Artificial Intelligence – Perspectives and Potentials
At the beginning of September, experts in this field asked themselves questions on the subject of “Artificial Intelligence – Perspectives and Potentials” at “log in. berlin.“, the campaign for the digital metropolis of Berlin. And our founder Dr. Hanna Köpcke was also invited there as a speaker. In the Microsoft Atrium, she delivered her lecture on “Artificial Intelligence in eCommerce“. She addressed the difficulties in capturing and processing product data in online retail, as well as explaining how AI can help in the evaluation of images, texts and image-text combinations.
The future of artificial intelligence
Following her presentation, Dr. Hanna Köpcke discussed the potential of AI with the experts Fabian Westerheide (Asgard), Dr. Rasmus Rothe (Merantix), Dr. Christian Thurau (Twenty Billion Neurons) and Nicolas Zimmer, CEO of the Technology Foundation Berlin (TSB). The focus here was on experiences within an international context. The conclusion was that, especially in the USA, Canada and Great Britain, it is easier to implement complex AI projects quickly and easily. But even if Germany still lags slightly behind in the international comparison, everyone on stage agreed that the digital economy in Germany remains on the right track.
